opened up in mid 2011, and since then has been drawing a steady crowd night after night. The menu isn't huge at Devour, but each dish is carefully thought out. These innovative desserts show just why dessert bars are becoming so popular in Adelaide.

Devour change their menu frequently. If you're a devout fan of one of their desserts this can be a sad time, as you wait for your favourite to roll around again. At the same time, it means that the Devour menu is always fresh, and there are even more desserts for you to fall in love with. A changing menu means the kitchen scientists are always coming up with new flavour combinations, like their popcorn ice cream and new ways to display them.

All of the Devour Desserts are beautifully presented, which makes that first bite even more satisfying. They really do taste as good as they look. If you spot a familiar dessert on the menu, chances are it has an interesting twist, it's all part of the fun.

True dessertophiles will find it hard to look past the tasting menus. You can choose either a three or five course dessert degustation, with desserts not available on the regular menu. Only try this one if you have someone else helping you eat through them all.

Some desserts are simple, like a rich chocolate cookie with vanilla bean ice cream, while other's are like an edible work of art. To make the most of a night at Devour bring along a large crowd, you'll have arms and spoons dipping across the table the whole night as every tries to sample each dessert.

With the changing menu also comes some savoury options. You can grab a Devour dog, or a pork belly Vietnamese roll. These aren't always available, but if you keep and eye out on Twitter or Facebook you'll be kept in the loop about any menu changes.

The decor at Devour is simple, it's a comfortable and casual place to enjoy a late night catch up with friends. The staff are friendly, and service is great. Devour can get busy, so make sure you book a table. You can give them a call, or just leave a note on their Facebook page .
