Life is about the journey - some roads are not always what they seem but you sure learn a great deal from them!

Rolling Stones Re-Born?
REWIND THE CLOCK: It is 1962, and you are walking past a sport complex. You see these 'weird' guys with guitars, drums, and singing to a film crew! What do you do?

Devil in Miss Jones
What would you do if you saw Mick Jagger - HERE!

Well I did what anyone would do nowadays. Well maybe not everyone! I stopped to find out - who this group was and what they doing on the Bedford Bowling Green with a camera crew filming them in action?
Devil in Miss Jones
A Band - A Bowling Green - A Film Crew = Go Figure!

The band in question was: Devil in Miss Jones

The band consists of Danny, Dave, Kelvin, and Trent. All very talented and down to earth guys.

They all met during high school and spent many of their school years working out the good chords, the bad chords and what is truly ugly. As they were under 18, they were not allowed to play in any pub (I guess Mick Jagger had one up on them for that!). So they did what most aspiring artists did - played where they could until they turned 18!

Devil in Miss Jones
The Next Big Band?

The music video was being supervised by Peter Wharram, who is very well known in the broadcast industry, working with a range of professional and elite sporting teams. He was assisting young broadcasting students with this project, through the broadcasting course held through TAFE. It is also a program that received accolades for the best program in Australia. And this video will be released on air in the not so distant future. I was just fortune enough to be passing by.

Devil in Miss Jones
The Band in Action!

'Devil in Miss Jones' has hat je ne sais quoi to make it to the big leagues. Like many up and coming bands, most of the beginning stages of a great journey is spent 'fine tuning skills' in front of an audience found in pubs and bars. Their music is catchy, with a great beat and tune. The singer has an outstanding voice. This group has the perfect combination and perfect pitch. But don't rely on my ear for music - go and see them live at their next gig! (And I will quietly say "I told you so!")

If you are seeking someone to perform at your venue, or as an opening to a bigger act, I would suggest contacting the band themselves.

So, for all those reading this is MOVE OVER JAGGER ... because DEVIL in MISS JONES is about to take over! This is definitely a band to watch out for!

I have actually seen this band live. Their music is unique, crossing many genres. Their song writing and sound shows a maturity way bryond their experience. Definitely one to watch

Great Article. I love the idea of young bands taking on the older version with their own slant. Looked them up on YouTube - I have to agree. Great chemistry in that band!

I have seen this band twice live.
Their great songwriting shows and both performances were exceptional.
I have their EP and have played a few of the songs from it at 2 of my past DJ gigs.
Keep up the great work guys.
