Get some serious pampering
A peek inside Detail Woman
Talk about being pampered!
I came to Detail Woman on 8 Spring Street, Sydney CBD, as part of a current Facebook promotion for a complimentary cut, blow-dry, and part-line foils. I was greeted by a stylish, modern interior with shelves and shelves of hair products, elegant and simple furnishings, and for those who hate waiting for hours (or even minutes), TVs hanging from the ceilings, featuring music videos. What's more, and I couldn't help but notice, were the awesome tracks playing throughout the salon, from classics to RnB.

What I loved about Detail Woman was how friendly and down to earth the staff were. I've been to lots of salons where you end up reading endless magazines, texting friends or dozing off. My experience at Detail Woman however was different. Cara, the senior stylist who did my hair, was not only very friendly, but also kept me awake with great conversations about music to magazines to hair - naturally.
I came in to re-do my tips, which were meant to be violet but did not come out well (from another salon). This time, however, the colour came out perfectly. More than that, Cara gave me complimentary GHD curls to finish off the look.
Here's the end product. Final thoughts? A definite must-go for some serious pampering.
I think the name is rather odd if it is for men too. Surely they must lose a lot of potential customers, a.) by men not realising they can use it, and b.) men who feel uncomfortable using a place with 'woman' in the title.
I went here- BIG mistake! They were rude, did not listen to me and treated me with judgement. I asked for a trim, and they chopped over half my hair off in uneven layers! I did not even ask for layers! It will take 2-3 years for it to all grow back - AVOID DETAIL WOMAN at all costs!!
