If you are someone who likes to try new things and explore different cultures and their cuisines, Dessert Story in Box Hill is a great place to visit.

Box Hill is known for its wide diversity of cultures and is filled with many unique restaurants, cafes etc for you try, and Dessert Story should definitely be up high on your list of places to go.



Dessert Story is a cafe/dessert bar that serves a range of Taiwanese and Hong Kong home-style desserts, with a few modern twists. Some desserts come with rice, pudding, tofu and/or beans, but I sampled a shaved ice and fruit dessert called Fruit Avalance, which came with a scoop of the best tasting vanilla ice cream that I've ever had - and I'm not exaggerating one bit (that being said, I'm not usually a fan of ice cream)!



The prices are very generous when you consider the size of the desserts (most desserts could easily feed two people), staff are very friendly, and they are always filled with customers so they are clearly doing something right.

I ultimately suggest taking a trip to Box Hill (or you can find a store closer to you as there are quite a few around Victoria), and trying out some of these incredible and intriguing desserts.
