On Saturday 9th of August, 2014, you have the opportunity to participate in an inspiring workshop with noted Landscape Designer Janine Mendel.

Janine Mendel is a multi-award winning Landscape Designer and Author who has designed more than 1000 Australian gardens, with many of them small urban spaces.

This interactive workshop is proudly presented by Open Gardens Australia and will be held at the Grove Community Centre. Running from 10am to 12.30pm, the intimate workshop will uncover some of Janine's design secrets, allowing you to create your own little urban oasis at home.

Janine believes less is more and that, by its very nature, good design should tread lightly on the planet. "Great design is not about slavishly following current trends. A beautiful garden nurtures the soul, complements the house it adorns, and contributes to the streetscape."

Copies of Janine's latest book, 'Urban Sanctuary: Designing small gardens' will be available for purchase at a special event price.

Bookings are essential for this event.

Tickets are priced $65.00 - includes morning tea.
