A 2-part workshop for children aged 7 years and up
If your little one is a budding scientist, artist, explorer, or biologist, make sure to sign them up for HOTA's Designing Creatures from the Past interactive workshop this August!

Held over two fun-filled days (August 20 & 27), this exciting creative workshop is led by Gold Coast artist Amanda Gorman and invites children aged 7 years and up to design their very own creature using inspiration from the past.

Children will research, draw and let their imagination run wild (alongside their creature)! The completed design will play an important part in HOTA's upcoming Kids Take Over Quest - an adventure across the HOTA precinct during the September school holidays.

  • Workshop 1 (Theatre 2, HOTA Central): Drawing your creature with Amanda Gorman. Participants can select either the 11.30am or 1pm session on August.

  • Workshop 2 (Studio 2, HOTA Central): Researching your creature and designing a habitat in our 'HOTA research Lab', from 10am-2pm.

Bookings are essential and the participation fee is $10. Secure your child's place today at https://hota.com.au/whats-on/live/workshops/designing-creatures-from-the-past
