Great accommodation in Alice Springs
We flew from Sydney to Alice Springs, hired our car at the airport and drove to Desert Palms Resort, about a 15 minute drive. As a family of four, we didn't want expensive accommodation but we did want a comfortable retreat.

We stayed three nights in a very quiet studio villa. Each villa has a verandah to enjoy an early morning cuppa. The villas are air-conditioned and there is a kitchenette. The ensuite bathroom is small but visitors do not need to spend long in the bathroom as Central Australia is a place to get outdoors.

The pool at the Desert Palms is very inviting for guests to cool down, though there was no one taking advantage of this when we visited.

The Desert Palms is not too big to walk around with each villa separate from the other villas and they have their own verandas. There is a guest laundry, free wifi and the staff at the Desert Palms Resort were friendly and helpful.
