A rainforest walk leading to a secluded beach
The enchanting Depot Beach Rainforest Walk makes you feel like you are a world away with its lush littoral rainforest. Here you will experience a tall, dense jungle filled with towering trees with canopies blocking the sun, lush foliage, dense undergrowth, with sounds of wings fluttering in the distance and the clattering of leaves echoing.

The start of the enchanting rainforest walk.

Depot Beach Rainforest Walk is nestled in one of the most spectacular and dramatic coastlines of New South Wales, Murramarang National Park. This National Park is home to one of the rare spots in Australia where the spotted gums grow right down to the ocean, and Depot Beach Rainforest Walk is one example of one of these spots. It will take your breath away with its natural beauty and its magnificent white-sand beach awaiting you.

Do not forget to look up and admire the towering trees!

Depot Beach is an alluring white-sand beach that is backed by a stunning towering lush green rainforest which marks the beginning of the Rainforest Walk.

Lush rainforest flora surrounds this easy walking track.

What makes this walk magical is that it is one of the few standing littoral rainforest remaining in Australia and you cannot help but be immersed in its stunning beauty as images begin to fill you on how the region was like 50 million years ago, when the entire region was covered by this lush rainforest.

Being dwarfed by the spectacular trees!

This spectacular walk is almost secluded, making it perfect to connect to the surrounding nature with the sounds of your footsteps, singing birds in the distance, wandering wildlife, sounds of the rainforest trees and the sounds of slight crushing waves from Depot Beach being your only company.

The Loop Walk leads to the beach and also to a lovely welcoming of native wildlife.

The Rainforest Walk is approximately 400 metre easy loop walk, rated grade three, with gentle hills and occasional steps on the formed track making it perfect for families with little ones.

Enjoying the tranquillity and surrounding natural beauty of Depot Beach.

Jumping across the stepping-stones and balancing along the many logs that line the walking track will bring back childhood memories.

Having fun by balancing on fallen logs.

The beach is perfect for a swim, surf, snorkel or paddling in the clear waters, before you head back on the easy loop walk to the carpark.

The water entices you to explore its mysteries.

Depot Beach Rainforest Walk is the perfect city escape and day trip, as well as being the perfect family-friendly outing.

A picnic amongst lush bushland, views of Depot Beach and with kangaroos & wallabies as company can be enjoyed, before hopping back onto the Rainforest Loop Walk.

There is something for everyone to enjoy, from discovering gems on the walking trail to exploring the stunning beach and its mysteries and enjoying a picnic with wandering wild kangaroos and wallabies as company.

Be sure to add this place of interest and attraction to the bucket list or itinerary!
