What makes this walk magical is that it is one of the few standing littoral rainforest remaining in Australia and you cannot help but be immersed in its stunning beauty as images begin to fill you on how the region was like 50 million years ago, when the entire region was covered by this lush rainforest.
This spectacular walk is almost secluded, making it perfect to connect to the surrounding nature with the sounds of your footsteps, singing birds in the distance, wandering wildlife, sounds of the rainforest trees and the sounds of slight crushing waves from Depot Beach being your only company.
The Rainforest Walk is approximately 400 metre easy loop walk, rated grade three, with gentle hills and occasional steps on the formed track making it perfect for families with little ones.
Jumping across the stepping-stones and balancing along the many logs that line the walking track will bring back childhood memories.
The beach is perfect for a swim, surf, snorkel or paddling in the clear waters, before you head back on the easy loop walk to the carpark.

Getting Here:**
is located in the Murramarang National Park near Batemans Bay, South Coast of New South Wales. It is approximately 4-hour drive from Sydney CBD, just over 2-hours from Canberra and 8 ½ hour drive from Melbourne CBD.
Turn off Princes Hwy at East Lynne, via Mount Agony Rd, driving approximately 5km then turn right onto North Durras Rd, then left to Depot Beach Rd- follow the signs to the Depot Beach Picnic Area.
