Your day of adventure is all set for Sunday, 15 October, 2017 at 8.00am for registration and the ride commencing at 9.00am.
Here's an idea – get a group together and spend the day with some old friends as well as the new ones you're going to make on the day.
Please book as soon as possible as tickets sell quickly and it takes time for all the planning. Bookings can be made at any time but, once the tickets have gone, that's it!
Don't miss out on this special thrill, book your Harley pillion here, now.
Tickets are available for $125 per person and included along with the ride of a lifetime is morning tea, a choice of three options for lunch and plenty of pit stops for added comfort (that's especially important for old codgers like myself).
On the day you will also have the opportunity to enter a couple of unbelievable raffles. One is for a genuine Harley-Davidson Australia 100th Anniversary Bill Davidson autographed Bell helmet – how good would that be to own? If you don't think the helmet is for you then there is another raffle with a stunning Gourmet Hamper to delight any foodie; and who isn't a foodie? Tickets will be available on the day so bring your money and keep helping a good cause and hoping yours are the winning tickets
This fabulous day is a fundraiser to help support people with Motor Neurone Disease. The event has been held for several years and attracts people from all walks of life, just like you, who want to have the fun and excitement only possible as a pillion rider on the back of a thundering Harley. It's also suitable for all ages with children from eight years of age legally able to ride as a pillion. You don't need any experience as you'll share the ride with an expert rider from the Gasoline Alley Harley Owners Group (HOG) on a prestige bike built for just this type of 'Easy Rider' cruising (Check out the photo at the top of the web page – Easy Riders abound!).
This annual ride always has a fun theme and this year it's, Denim and Diamonds. The theme always provides a lot of laughing and, this year, is a chance to go blingy and relive the age of denim! Take note, though, when you get on your glitter remember to adhere to the strict dress guidelines in place to ensure yours and the rider's safety. This information is included with the booking form and is part of the Terms and Conditions of your participation.
What an opportunity to have such a wonderful, fulfilling day out and to know, at the same time you are making a real difference to people who have to battle through every day of their lives. Motor Neurone Disease is a terminal illness with no treatment or cure and as people begin to lose the use of their muscles they need intensive support to maximise the time they have left and stay in their own home. The disease is a strain and very distressing for loving families and especially carers. The funds raised from events like the HOG Ride for Motor Neurone Disease help provide equipment, support, advocacy, research and information for people with the disease and their families.
Regular support meetings for both current and past carers, family members and friends together with newsletters, email information and Facebook updates are just some of the ways in which MNDAQ support the whole family through their journey with MND.
If, for some unfathomable reason, a ride on a Harley is not for you then perhaps you have some time you could volunteer to help out this great cause. MNDAQ can always use some help with office work, events and/or fundraising. Register your interest by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org even if you have done so in the past, please do it again so that the organisation's records are up to date.
The Denim and Diamonds HOG Ride for Motor Neurone Disease Queensland is an amazing bucket list TICK-off. Drink in the beautiful vistas of our gorgeous country from the unique vantage point of a Harley-Davidson cruiser's pillion seat. Experience a sumptuous morning tea and delicious lunch as you join in the fun theme this year of Denim and Diamonds. Wear your denim and diamonds to match the MNDAQ colours, bling it up and live an unforgettable experience.
For more information on the HOG Ride or MNDAQ you can phone the organisation on 3372 9004 or email email@example.com and the organisation's web page, Facebook page and twitter page.
Don't miss this opportunity to reduce the bucket list and help out at the same time.
