If you ever wanted to keep orchids but feel intimidated by the prospect of properly caring for them, the Demystifying Orchids Masterclass on 9 September 2018 from 10am to 3pm at Mount Lofty Botanic Garden Nursery will teach you the proper techniques for their care.

Run by Bodo Jensen, an active member of the Native Orchid Society of South Australia, participants will be able to learn the specialised techniques for cultivating orchids. These include deflasking (removing orchid seedling from a flask and introducing it to standard nursery conditions) and dividing orchid as well as an overview of the orchid family. At the end of the masterclass, participants can take the plant and propagation materials home to kick-start their orchid collection.
