Sydney has the most beautiful harbour with many lovely little beaches tucked away its many coves. My favourite one is Delwood Beach, tucked away about half way round the scenic walk, which starts near Manly Art Gallery and leads around the cliff face overlooking the ocean, with the manly ferries going to and fro.

You will see some stairs leading down to the beach and on a sunny day, people swimming and snorkelling in lovely clear water in a lagoon like area which is entered through some rocks. A a unique atmosphere!

Make sure you don't pass the steps without seeing them as this is easy to do, which makes it more private. Delwood Beach is written on the ground above the steps.

If you continue around the path you will come to Fairlight Beach, which is more public and also has a great ocean pool which has a pathway for wheel chairs and the disabled.

Even to make it more user friendly there are bars along the side of the pool to help the pubic enter the water.

The fifteen minute walk has lots of grass and trees for shade with picnic areas and public facilities.

Lovely views all the way with Manly Art Gallery and Museum close by; there are two cafes next to them. A fully catered for day.

Catch a ferry as it's not easy to park on weekends.
