A colourful school holiday activity that leaves everyone sparkling.

School holidays are a state of existence that children blindly and joyously embrace. Parents frantically anticipate, at around 10am of the first holiday, the ticking unspoken question … %%What are we going to do now? Any well-prepared parent may have a schedule. Failing that, possession of a few tickets to at the Collingwood Spiegle Tent might do the trick.

Dee Dee is a charismatic Canadian performer and her teaching background is evident. She immediately has wide eyes fixed on her every move. The subject of her performance - bubbles - is a sure hit. If there is anything that can make a child's face sparkle, it is round, translucent and glitters.

Dee Dee allows the children to educate her mastery of soap science, giving them full opportunity to experience a sense of authority and fulfilling involvement. Her bubbles grow in size and complexity. She encourages the children to coax them out of their shell. The act instils a moral of caring creating confidence.

Parents can relax in their seats as Dee Dee is highly skilled in absorbing the children's attention for an hour. She manages their energy and balances their engagement so no child feels left out. With her own composition of songs with actions to bop along to, there were no lapsing moments of fun. The catchy tunes were quite infectious and the adults' smiles were as wide as the children's eyes.

The Collingwood Spiegle Tent is a beautiful arena to let bubbles shine. It has a glittering backdrop of lights and a magical sense of the circus. The Entertainment begins at reception. Here the children can be unsettled with delicious looking choc-tops (available at the Reception Kiosk) and fascinated by the magic paraphernalia on retail. The staff cheer the children into the perfect lively mood to make the most of Dee Dee's show.

Ages from 3 up to 10-12 (even 35) are catered for. The child or young at heart exit glowing happily and jubilant with the colour, vibrance and the warm-hearted innocence of Dee Dee's bubbles. Suds and sparkle catch in your eye.



The children even have the opportunity to be totally surrounded by bubbles. The parents have time to capture beautiful giggling and colourful moments on film. Lasting evidence of the school holidays happily spent. It is as if you dropped your child off in an Enid Blyton book for the period. They are guaranteed to leave glowing with the experience.

The only parental issue may be possible determination to come back. This did seem the case with some children who were far too well versed in the course of events. Fortunately, The Collingwood Spiegle Tent has a full line up of school holiday events, enough to make all parents' lives a whole lot easier.
