Mouth watering food, mesmerising view
The Parramatta River is a beautiful outlook. There are lots of restaurants and cafes dotted along this watercourse. One of them is Dedes, inside the Sydney Rowing Club. Dedes is a fine dining restaurant with impeccable service and a marvellous view overlooking the Parramatta River at Abbotsford.
Once seated at Dedes, the difficult choice begins. What to eat for dinner? We started with Smoked Salmon Bruschetta with red onion and cream cheese. It's not often that I will eat seafood when I dine out. This was a special occasion, though, so I felt entitled to splurge. My 'entitlement' was a delicious dish.
Junior Mister ordered the Fishermans Basket. It had the most delicious tartare sauce, and those chips – they were enormous and yummy. I enjoyed them so much, I ordered a bowl of those mouth-watering hand cut chips.
