Christmas baubles your way
Yes, its that time of year again when we scratch our heads, wondering what we will buy others for Christmas. This year why not make a Christmas bauble for your family and friends.

Buy plain baubles from a discount shop, I got a pack of 4 for $2.00. You'll also need acrylic paint, I only bought white for around $4.00, and some gold, silver and black permanent markers.

How to make a Snowman and Reindeer

Place your bauble string side down in an egg cup or something similar. With your fingers put some paint on your entire finger and then press against the bauble. Don't over-paint your finger, as it will take forever to dry.

Put a single line down the bauble, or numerous lines of your finger around the bauble.

You may like to paint the bottom like snow or leave it empty, the choice is yours.

Permament marker for top hat and antlers

Once dry give the snowman a top hat with permanent marker, some eyes, a triangle for his nose and a smiley face. Place 3 dots down his tummy for buttons.

To make a reindeer instead, just do a thumb print, rather than a whole finger. Draw some antlers and a face with permanent marker, you can do this multiple times around the bauble. There are no rules on this one, except to have fun, and laugh at each other's designs.

A very unique Reindeer

This year for Christmas every member of my family will be getting a bauble. We will be creating them on Christmas Day, then placing them on the tree.

Now you have a wonderful present that comes from the heart and can be used year after year.

It's also can be a great idea for those who have lost a loved one, to be remembered at this time of year - a truly personal keepsake bauble that will last for years.

Merry Christmas everyone and have fun making these. As a not very talented crafter, this was one I really enjoyed with my son and I can assure you many a laugh was had at my expense.
