Classy and comfy, this gorgeous little wine bar is nestled neatly in the centre of North Fitzroy, and, as the name suggests, embraces the characteristic look and feel of the Art Deco period.
The snug atmosphere and stylish décor is punctuated by the many famous prints of Tamara de Lempicka, warmly lit by candles and lamps, and the soft jazzy beats wafting through space complete the scene, with drink in hand of course.
Art Deco comfort
Boasting the "best beer in the world", Samuel Smith's Imperial Stout is one damn fine beverage, easily a winning choice on a winter's night. If that's not your thing though, choose from Deco's definitive range of handcrafted beers and fine wines. The staff, self-professed "booze hounds, but never booze snobs", will also be happy to set you on the right path. It's all about taste.
Deco Wine Bar
There's a garden out the back which is open all year round with plenty of seating, and a selection of cheeses and antipasto dishes to go with your drinks, as well as the option of ordering Italian-inspired dishes from the neighbour, Pinotta, if you're after a bit more of a meal.
Intimate & comfy
Sophisticated, intimate, yet down-to-earth and oh-so-comfy, this wine bar is a special little reminder of the potential of hidden gems waiting to be discovered by the discerning punter.
