"The Navy Club was so much fun last year, it will be wonderful to go back, a great room." Deborah Conway
Deborah Conway certainly needs no introduction. For more than a quarter of a century, the Australian singer-songwriter and guitarist has forged a celebrated musical career and has been the recipient of multiple gold records and an ARIA Music Award for 'Best Female Artist'.
Since the release of her debut solo album String of Pearls, Deborah Conway has been beloved by music lovers around the world. The album included no less than three hit singles, 'It's 'Only the Beginning', 'Release Me' and 'Under My Skin', and also led to a highly successful songwriting partnership and personal collaboration with fellow artist Willy Zygier.
When Conway was seeking a guitarist for her first ever solo album, she met and fell in love with Zygier and their partnership resulted in nine records, three children and comparisons to the greats, like Dylan and Cohen.
On Friday 23 February 2018, Conway, Zygier & The Beggars Go West are presenting a special intimate concert at Navy Club in Fremantle.
During the evening, music lovers can expect to hear tracks spanning eleven records, from String of Pearls to their acclaimed latest release, Everybody's Begging.
Conway and Zygier will be accompanied by a full band of Australia's finest musicians, including Niko Schauble, Clio Renner (RocKwiz) and Jonathon Zion, in this one-off spectacular event in Fremantle.
