A play to die for
Exit Game Productions in association with Sydney Fringe presents Deathtrap. By arrangement with Origin Theatrical on behalf of Samuel French LTD.

Based on the story by Ira Levin and later made into a film adaptation in 1982 starring Michael Caine and Christopher Reeve. Director Debbie Smith brings Deathtrap to life on stage in a two-act thrilling performance at King Street Theatre.

The premise is playwright Sidney Bruhl, a successful murder mystery writer on Broadway. After his most recent play flops, he becomes consumed with desperation for another success. Enter former student, Clifford Anderson, who has written a script and asks Bruhl for some advice. Bruhl becomes consumed with jealousy as he realises the potential this play has, and he MUST have it. Bruhl invites Anderson over to his house under the pretense that he will assist with editing and advice. The trap is set...

The cast includes Nicholas Gledhill as the devious Sidney Bruhl, Cassady Maddox as his wife Myra Bruhl, Amrick Tumber as the flamboyant Clifford Anderson, Denise Kitching as Psychic Helga Ten Dorp and Catherine Waters as Portia Milgrim.

A cleverly directed play with comical twists and turns, hilariously flamboyant characters that keep you hooked and awaiting the next scene. We gasped, we laughed and applauded!
