Death in Bowengabbie is a black comedy about love, loss and mourning. It's the story of Oscar, who has escaped his small town existence and started a new life in the city. Oscar now has a fiancé, a new job and a new start.
Oscar is called to return home to Bowengabbie after a sudden series of mysterious deaths, followed by bizarre funerals. Is it love that brings Oscar back, or is it something more sinister?
Death in Bowengabbie was written by Caleb Lewis, an award-winning playwright. The upcoming performances are directed by Matt Edgerton (Bell Shakespeare and Sport for Jove) and star WAAPA graduate Bryce Youngman (Rake and Packed to the Rafters).
