Andi's performance is one out of the box
#Dear Diary - Rehashing the Past is currently playing at the Butterfly Club, Carson Place (off Little Collins Street), Melbourne, as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival.

#Dear Diary - Rehashing the Past
Andi Snelling's performance is one out of the box!

#Dear Diary is a one-woman show featuring the talented Andi Snelling in her first solo show.

The set is piles of suitcases and trunks - one from which Andi emerges to kick off proceedings.

Engaging from the start, Andi takes the audience through a lifetime journey, referencing over 20 years of diary entries.

Along the way, we experience some of the highs and lows of life: the difficult teenage years; the transition to adulthood bringing with it a sense of freedom, along with the emergence of life's burdens.

#Dear Diary - Rehashing the Past
A lifetime of diary entries are rehashed in this show

Part way through the show, there is a change of pace, as Andi swings into the #AskDiary quiz section. Audience members are asked to submit questions prior to the show, and Andi plucks one at random and proceeds to adeptly work some improv into the show.

The show is described as 'cabaret-infused', and I feel that is a fair description. It takes the audience along on a ride that includes highs and lows, laughter and tears. Along the way is some audience participation, some very capably performed songs, and clever dialogue. Overall it was an outstanding performance by Andi. The show is a testament to Andi's talent and stage versatility.
