Enjoy the peace and smell the daisies
Let's face it, most of us who enjoy coffee have at some point wanted to steer away from mainstream coffee shops on busy roads, filled with loud conversations, people coming in and out and grumpy customers repeatedly rolling their eyes at the barista for taking too long to make them a grande, triple shot, half soy half Swiss mountain water latte stir not shaken in their own personalised mug...
Sometimes you just need a little spot in a quiet street lined with trees, with smart and homely decor, a simple yet interesting menu and some eye catching pastries and treats on display. So if you really just want to feel like you are in your own home but with barista quality coffee, friendly faces to serve you and lovely fresh daisies; you may want to visit "Dear Daisy".
This little coffee shop sits just a few steps from Forestville's tram stop 4, on Norman Terrace, and although it is not the hermit of cafes it is just far enough from big shopping centres and busy main roads which makes for a great option if you simply want to sip on a coffee while reading a book, doing some work or meeting with a friend for a proper chat with little distractions and great lemon meringue cheesecake!
If you are not within walking distance of Dear Daisy; hop in a tram or ride your bicycle along the ever green path which runs parallel to the tram line. It's easy to spot and even easier to want to go back and smell the fresh daisies.
