Calisthenics is an interesting and good exercise
Callisthenics is a sport or hobby and the actual meaning of the word comes "from the Greek words kallos for beauty and thenos for strength."

The sport can assist with the emotional and social development of children through friendship and teamwork. In this course, students learn six different routines to music and this is where the diversity of the sport is seen.

Is it a Sport or an Art?
Callisthenics can be categorised as both. When it is termed as a sport, it encourages "physical development, coordination, self-discipline and team spirit." When it is an art, callisthenics is more of a development of an appreciation of music and rhythm.

These classes are designed for beginners and no experience is required. Suitable for ages 3 to 12 years, the classes are casual and if you do not attend every week, this is okay.

Classes are held at St. John Vianney's School, 91 Namatjira Drive Waramanga ACT from 10.00 am to 11.00 am each Saturday. The last class will be on 7th December 2019.

About Deanne Calisthenics Club
Deanne Calisthenics Club began in 1975 and is a non-profit organisation which is operated with many volunteers. Callisthenics is a dance sport which combines teamwork, musical apprehension, strength, compliance, and performance tasks.

At this club, they also look after ages 3 years and over.
The team members are passionate about the way they give their variety and scope for this sport. The main objective is to teach, encourage and help with callisthenics and make sure that this sport is both enjoyable and a friendly environment for its members.
