Dean & Josh create dynamic show performances in September
We each have a story, where it all began, how we coped through what was dished out and how we created our own path by the choices and the roads we took. Some had biographies written about them and some wrote their own autobiographies. This is life.
Dean Ray came to the stage and into our hearts as a young man of twenty-two when he appeared on the X-Factor some years ago. Right from the start, the audience was captured by a unique style of somewhat shy showmanship, totally consumed by the music and songs he performed. At that time, Dean was elevated to runner-up of the competition, which placed him on a platform of artists, most of Australia now know.
As everyone knows, being in the music industry and trying to identify your own style is a cut-throat business. Agents and producers want to create their own idol in a role that they believe is best for a young audience; however, you need to be true to yourself and do what feels right within.
Disillusioned and struggling between what others required and how Dean wanted his music to flow, he took a break from music and got what he thought was a real job. Fortunately for his fans, Dean has returned to the stage stronger than ever with a determination to bring his heartfelt lyrics and instrumental prowess to the receptive audiences.

In doing so Dean is currently travelling around Queensland performing "The Showcase Tour" based mostly on songs from his latest CD "Messenger" with singles "Call it a Day", "Scars" "Princess Annie", "The Winnings" and "Mystery". His new single will be out on iTunes on Friday 13th September 2019, so this is definitely one to watch out for. Dean's voice range of both baritone and tenor in some of his songs creates a profound strength to the story being told within the verses.
Accompanying Dean on this Tour is Josh Needs, whose association with Dean came through mutual friend, Phil Emmanuel. Josh's combination of the harmonica and guitar adds to the splendid execution of his own compositions.
From an early age, Josh was inspired to play the guitar like his brothers and by age 13 he was playing professionally and writing songs from the following year. As well as performing solo, Josh has played in bands and at festivals such as Blues on Broadbeach, Airlie Beach Music, Woodford and Tamworth. Establishing himself as an artist and honing his skills, he has accompanied well-known musicians such as Russell Morris, Jon Stevens, Tommy & Phil Emmanuel, Diesel, Joe Camilleri and more recently Ian Moss and The Animals (UK) on their tours.

From my personal experience of attending one of the venues on The Showcase Tour, I can assure you will not be disappointed as Dean and Josh create a dynamic atmosphere when engulfed in their world of words and music; the listener also is taken on the musical journey. After the show, Dean and Josh are happy to meet you and sign their CDs when purchased.
