The annual Deagon Community Picnic Race Day is on Sunday 13th September 2015.
Three years ago, the Deagon Community Picnic Race Day was held for the first time since 1941and has quickly grown to become a huge community event! This year's event is expected to draw 7,000 people trackside!
The fun commences at 10am with a fantastic line-up of great trackside activities and entertainment in between races.
Enjoy the glamour of 'The Emeri Sparkling Wine Fashions on the Field', take part in the foot races for the Fillies, Families and Fellas or join in the annual Wheelbarrow Race! There will also be gourmet food stalls, live music performances and free children's entertainment to check out throughout the day.
This event celebrates thoroughbred racing's past, present and future. Enjoy a 10 race dual meet programme including seven thoroughbred, and three harness races.
It's anticipated the three harness races, including the 'Keith McKay Memorial', will also raise the excitement, with the dual code meeting providing a chance for harness fans to see trots on a grass track as opposed to the more traditional dirt.
The big draw for the punters this year is expected to be 'The Aliweld Deagon Cup', along with the Deagon Trainers Whopper, and the Bracken Ridge Tavern Wayne Wilson Memorial.
The Deagon Community Picnic Race Day is all about having fun trackside and soaking in the atmosphere with friends and family.
You can also opt to take full advantage of the VIP Experience Area (18 and over), or enjoy a day at the Corporate Marquees as well.
