Wamuran has never had access to a good pizza. All that changed in June with the arrival of Deadwood Pizza. A very enterprising family, Jason and Mandy, built themselves a mobile woodfired pizza shop and set up business on the Wamuran Village Green, right next door to the hall and across the road from the Nashos Park. Being on the D'Aguliar Highway, they have great exposure with easy access.
One cannot help but be very impressed with this amazing setup. All designed by themselves, using an interesting cooking technique, where the pizzas turn in the oven in a self-contained, well laid out wee kitchen.
They offer a wide variety of pizza toppings with all the usual suspects along with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free. All pizzas are the same size and could easily feed a family of four or three hungry adults.
There is plenty of easy roadside parking and for those in the know, plenty of parking behind on the green. Cooked pizzas can be delivered to your car, so you don't have to worry about social distancing. But if you choose to stand by and wait, there is plenty of room to social distance. But be warned, at peak times, they are very very busy. They have plenty of staff, but a pizza still has to be cooked.
