Dead At First Sight is the fifteenth novel featuring likeable hero DS Grace, a character that has been adapted on to stage in recent years due to its popularity.

Moving between Germany and the UK, the pace is quick in this fascinating mystery that will have you turning the pages. Along with regular and returning characters, there are some new memorable players that will make you want to read on at the end of each short chapter.
For fans of DS Grace, this latest episode also delves deeper into his relationship with his son, Bruno, as a sideline. It helps to build up more of an image of this detective, who has quickly developed a strong fan base since his first appearance in novel
Dead Simple and other mysteries including
Not Dead Enough and
Not Dead Yet.
From early on, James grabs the attention as blood flows in macabre ways with what seems like a suicide but quickly turns into something much more profound that ends up involving a lonely retired military man and a gay motivational speaker.
It's a bold start to the latest novel that features some pretty nasty criminals from around the world using the internet to their advantage.
