As an authentic Malaysian eatery, De Honey Charcoal Grilled serves up some of the best satays in Perth. Its location within the Cambridge International Food Court fitted in well with my plans while staying at the nearby Kings Park Motel. So, I paid them a visit and, sure enough, I wasn't disappointed.

My chicken satay was truly satisfying. The meat was skewered beautifully onto bamboo sticks and grilled over charcoal. It had the right amount of char but was still very tender. The sweetness from the honey was well-balanced. I later found out that they actually use real 100% Australian honey in their satays. Traditional condiments such as peanut sauce, rice cubes, cucumbers and onions were included too. The amount of peanut sauce was more than enough for me, but if you do run out, you can simply bring your plate back and get a free refill. Do be mindful though that the sauce is a little spicy. Beef and lamb satays are available for those who prefer, and all have been prepared halal, gluten-free and without MSG.

Cambridge International Food Court is located at 350 Cambridge Street in Wembley. Trading hours are from 11 am to 9 pm every day except Monday. However, if that isn't convenient, you can also find them at the Morley Coventry and Gosnells Railway Markets. They indeed bring a taste of Malaysia to Western Australia.
