The Singapore Philatelic Museum has teamed up Warner Bros to celebrate the 75th anniversary of BATMAN. It is hosting Asia's first and only DC Comics Super Heroes exhibition that commemorates the milestone superhero's anniversary.
The exhibition runs till 31 August and with admission prices at only $6 for adults and $4 for children between 3 to 12 years, it offers a cheap outing for the whole family. As an added icing to the already delicious superhero cake, Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents get FREE admissions.
Did you know Superman first appeared in Action Comics #1 of June 1938? This is a rare opportunity to learn about the origins of DC Comics and their well-known super heroes including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the Justice League of America.
There are rare original comic art pages and collectibles on loan from collectors, DC Comic Super Heroes stamps from the Singapore Philatelic Museum's permanent collection and Singapore Post MyStamps on Batman and DC Comics.
You can meet other cosplayers who will be posing in their superheros costumes and posting their photographs in the form of a postcard. You can also make your own superhero stamps and buttons. Don't forget to come dressed as your favourite DC Comics Super Heroes character.
Create Your Own 3D Model Super Heroes Workshop

Instead of a workshop just for kids, the Singapore Philatelic Museum knows how to appease the child in all of us. So children 7 years and above as well as adults can join in the workshop from 10am to 12.30pm on 16 August. Jose Maya, a professional 3D modeller and artist will teach you the basics of state-of-the-art 3D modelling concepts so you can create your own superheroes. The workshop fee is $45 per person based on a minimum of 6 and maximum 15 participants. Participants are required to bring their own laptops. Children 7 years and above as well as adults are welcomed to join in the workshop from 2pm to 4pm on 16 August. Jerry Hinds, President of Association of Comic Artists will provide hands-on instruction on how to sketch your favourite superheros.
