Rain or shine, enjoy an alfresco brunch or dinner for the whole family at Daydreamers in Beaconsfield, Victoria

Daydreamers Café is breathing new life into the world of cafés in Beaconsfield. With a spacious indoor, outdoor and alfresco setting, it is an easy choice for organising brunch dates with family and friends.



Quietly situated among the small strip of shops on the main street of Beaconsfield, entering this café is much akin to entering a Tardis - it is much bigger on the inside! The café is bright, spacious and open, but the centrepiece is a glass cabinet full of rich, decadent pastries and an array of sugar-laden sweets, each calling my name.





As I begin to navigate my way through to find my friends, I notice groups of people seated in circular booths and I find myself wanting to do the same. Instead, I walk past a brick fireplace (without the fire), towards another section of the café (there's more?). Despite all the full tables, the noise is not overwhelming and I notice the tables are well spaced.



Finally, I head outside - towards a covered alfresco dining area complete with its own outdoor bar. Despite the chill of an autumn Melbourne morning, it is perfectly warm. To my surprise, I find that the café further extends out towards a grassy green garden for those true nature lovers, which looks out over Bob Burgess Reserve.

For brunch, there are plenty of gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free options. I decided to go with a healthy option and chose the Super Greens (gluten-free). What I did not expect was how super delicious and morish it would be! The tanginess of the dressing complemented the fresh feta and crunchiness of the broccolini and roasted hazelnuts and almonds. It is by far one of the best brunch meals I have had!



With most of their brunch options beginning at $19.90, there are also their popular toasties starting from $10. The only downside is that they won't make alterations to their toasties.

Daydreamers has certainly become a local favourite of mine, particularly for a special lunch out with something for everyone - it is guaranteed to satisfy and impress! So come along and enjoy the spaciousness and warmth of the perfect indoor and outdoor café in the southeast suburbs of Beaconsfield, Victoria.
