Most Fridays I am working, but today I get a chance to have a day off. I can't let this one off opportunity to pass by without going out, so I decide to go to Brisbane.
From Gold Coast, I ride on a bus to Helensvale Train Station, then take the train to Brisbane. My first stop is in Southbank. I roam around for a while. Flowers are blooming on the parkland. People are swimming on the beach. Cinema is inviting moviegoers with cheap movie tickets. Restaurants and cafe are showing off their own specialties and delicacies.
I hop on the CityCat, one of Brisbane ferries. I observe that I have to queue in getting in and out of the ferry. The staff on the ferry are friendly and happily answer questions like a tourist guide. The ferry is quite large and spacious inside. It runs smoothly and does not make one feel seasick easily.
I hop off in Riverside. I walk few miles to the main street, Queen Street. Lots and lots of people busy walking to and fro. I have fun shopping around. I watch the activities going on the stage. I have a meal in the food court. And before I know it, it is time to go home and have a rest.
