Trainworks at Thirlmere is hosting a Day Out with Thomas on Saturday 11th July and Sunday 12th July 2015.
You can get up close to Thomas the Tank Engine, who will be on display for children to climb on and take photos with. Your ticket for the day also includes a steam train ride from Sodor Island Railway Station, pulled by Donald the back engine or one of Thomas' other friends. You can also see Toby the Rail Motor and watch Henry shunting the Troublesome Trucks.
Your ticket includes entry to the Trainworks museum, the steam train ride plus other exciting themed activities on offer during the day, including face painting, jumping castle, mini-train rides, an imagination station plus more. You can even meet the Fat Controller. There will be plenty of photo opportunities and fun for all of the family so don't forget to take your camera.

Trainworks is home to the largest collection of rolling stock and railway artefacts and memorabilia in Australia. Trainworks has been designed so that you can spend a whole day here. As well as the exhibitions and museum there are landscaped grounds, picnic tables and BBQ facilities to use. If you don't want to BYO food the Trainworks Café operates on weekends. There is also playground equipment in the grounds for the kids.
