This school holidays you'll want to stop by the National Railway Museum. From July 7-15 the Museum is celebrating all things Thomas.

There's free entertainment daily with stage appearances from the Amazing Drumming Monkey and Steve Presto Magician. There will also be roving performers including Daddy Long Legs and Dan Burt One Man Band.
For those die hard Thomas the Tank Engine fans there's plenty to see and do. You can see Sir Topham Hatt the Fat Controller for train polishing, you can take a train ride for $3 on Thomas the Tank Engine, Peronne the big steam engine and the Redhen railcars. There's also Thomas Merchandise for sale.
Even if you are not a Thomas fan there is still plenty of fun to be had on the jumping castle, having your face painted and doing badge making. There's balloons and fairy floss and food and drinks for sale.
If you go to the
National Rail Museum website you will find a colouring in competition to download and take along on the day. The winner gets the fabulous prize of hire of the cafeteria car for a children's birthday party for 20 children. The competition is limited to children 8yrs and under.
