Day trip by ferry and movie at New Hoyts Docklands
If you are holidaying near Portarlington or live in Geelong and environs, here is a great value day out. You catch the 11.15am service from Portarlington and take a scenic journey across the bay to Docklands, taking in the sweeping shoreline and gentle ocean breezes.
You'll be met at tram stop D4 and escorted down to The District Docklands.
The screening will be of the eagerly anticipated Mary Queen of Scots at 2 pm. This film explores the turbulent life of the charismatic Mary Stuart. Queen of France at 16 and widowed at 18, Mary defies pressure to remarry.
Instead, she returns to native Scotland to reclaim her rightful throne. While most of us know the ending to her claim the film shows all the betrayal, rebellion, and conspiracies of these perilous times.
