After some expansion and improvement, Aussie-owned juice company Eastcoast Beverages are excited to open the gates once again for visitors to enjoy a fun day out on their farm in the Central Coast region.
Starting in a small fruit shed back in 1965, three generations of the Lentini family have grown their business substantially by producing quality citrus juices made from 100% fresh fruit whilst living green and reducing their footprint on the planet. At this event, it's a chance to learn all about how they grow, squeeze, and bottle their own fruit on-site and bring the juiciest oranges from farm to glass.
From factory tours to fruit picking and farm trailer tours through the orchard, it's an escape from the city that young and old will enjoy. Summer may be over but the sweet tang isn't and with every fruit-picking ticket you'll get a produce bag to stuff in as many oranges as you can carry.
Cooking demos with Chef Dan are another highlight of this day out. Dan will be putting together some farm-to-table creations to inspire you in the kitchen. Plenty of produce stalls will be available for you to purchase ingredients to take home, whilst dozens of food stalls will keep your appetite at bay on the day.
Live music also features at this outing, along with kids' activities, jumping castles, face painting and a petting zoo. Blender bikes for both adults and children provide more interest as you use your pedal power to turn oranges into juice.
Not only do
Eastcoast Beverages make citrus juices, but they also use fruit from other local growers to produce combos like their fan favourite Hawaiian juice containing passionfruit, orange & guava and their lemon & lime juice. Drink them on their own or perhaps add them to your cocktail concoctions. Sounding fun is their Jive range of smoothies and vegetable juices jam-packed with fruity flavours that include the mango & banana and the super healthy apple, ginger, carrot & lemon combination. Be sure to get your hands on some of these before you leave.
Entry to this 150-acre citrus farm is free. Unfortunately, the factory tours have become sold out but the outdoor tours are available. You can purchase tickets for these on the day - fruit picking is $5pp and trailer tours are $10pp. So, if you love oranges, make a beeline to the Eastcoast stand and grab your tickets before they sell out.
