Like Halloween, Mexican's Celebrate Day of the Dead
The Day of the Dead is celebrated in Mexico in a similar way to Halloween, however, the two annual events are very different in traditions and tone. Mexican Day of the Dead festivities sparkle with an explosion of colour and joy with the theme, of course, being death, but a celebration of those who have died with a demonstration of love and respect.
On the ground floor at 167 Eagle Street in Brisbane, you too can celebrate this event at Riverland. Riverland is one of Brisbane's vibrant and sought-after venue with an 80-foot bar frontage serving sixteen tap beers and ciders and an extensive selection of Australia's best wines. Riverland was constructed from two 40-foot shipping containers, which created a unique venue comprising of open beams in an airy beer garden surrounded by lots of greenery. Riverland also caters for every taste with five individual kitchens preparing delicious and authentic street foods from many different countries.
Festivities commence at 11.00am on Saturday 2nd November 2019 and it is an event for the whole family. There will be pinatas, delicious Mexican street food, face painting and later as the sun sets, the adults can enjoy live music, tequila and more margaritas.
