Starting from Stuart Park, follow the beach along the
Blue Mile which starts at North Beach.
If you walk on the bottom path, you'll enjoy a more intimate view of the rock pool. If you walk alongside Cliff Road, you get to see the cannons and apartments. Either way, be sure to keep your eyes open for the ships heading in and out of Port Kembla.

Wollongong Harbour
Follow the walkway to the lighthouse and take in the views from every direction. The suburbs to the north, Port Kembla to the south and the CBD to the west with the escarpment in the background.
From there, walk to the Old Court House and catch the free shuttle bus (55c) to Market Street. Jump off and start your hunt for the local street art.
Be sure to stop and enjoy lunch at one of the many bars, bakeries or cafes in and around Crown Street.
For those wanting to see a building with extreme character, make sure you go into the most west building of the mall on Keira Street. Start at the ground level where Coles is and make sure you find the colanders before moving up a level.

Wollongong Botanic Gardens
Then get back on the free shuttle bus (55c) and head to the botanical gardens. For this you hop off at the university.
Enjoy a stroll around the ]botanical gardens and once you are finished, if you are feeling adventurous weave your way around the university and see if you can find the angry duck.
Get back on the free shuttle bus (55c) back to North Beach and enjoy a nice seafood feast at the lagoon for dinner.
