Dawson's Garden Centre in Forrestfield is a good, decent quality garden centre for hobby gardening enthusiasts and professionals.

There is a pleasant cafe which sells a variety of food and drinks.

Also, there is always a friendly staff member to help you out.

There is enough sheltered and outdoor seating of adequate quality for a coffee or if you just feel like sitting in the opulent and colourful environment.

There were some amazing smells and scents throughout the garden centre, so keep your nose open for those delicious and varied fragrances.

There are a few interesting art sculptures, some practical, others less so.

There are also a variety of nice old objects, like the scarecrow and the tractor. If I were still a child I would be climbing all over this tractor, driving wherever my imagination takes me.

There is a small underdeveloped Zen-like walkway which is obviously in progress, but nonetheless is still very nice to amble along; as well as other nooks and crannies like Dawson's Orchard (spot the orchid).

All in all it is a great place to bring your elderly parents or grandparents for a nice cup of tea and a scone.

Plus the shop is well stocked for most of your gardening needs.

There is quite a lot of wildlife attracted to the garden centre. I spotted a few birds here and there, including a crane just on the other side of the rickety fence.

Anyway, it is not bad for a half hour or so just for the enjoyment of the walk, or if you are on the lookout for your next gardening endeavour, you can spend a bit more time and check out all the incredible selections of plants, herbs, flowers, fertiliser, bulbs, wind chimes, statues, bird tables, pizza ovens, pots and all.
