Nestled amongst the sleepy waterways of the Central Coast, there is a small town that has so much to offer all those who love to explore.
Davistown is approximately 12kms from Gosford or 60kms from Hornsby and easily accessible by personal transport, bus or even a ferry ride from Woy Woy.
The town was named after the Davis family, who left Northern Ireland in the early to middle 1800s to settle in this area.
While in town, there are many walking tracks with views of the waterways or bring your bikes and ride with your kids in tow.
Davistown offers parks with children's play equipment, BBQ facilities, undercover seating with tables and restrooms. You could set up a camp chair anywhere along the water's edge to try your luck and catch that elusive fish for dinner.
The pristine waterways offer multiple locations to launch your boat to spend the day on this beautiful peaceful waterway.
Should you feel like a sit in or takeaway meal, Davistown's eateries include
The Dart & Feather , The Ferryman,
Bowthai , The Little Teapot Café and also boasts the well-known
Davistown RSL , with its many delicious meals, drinks, kids play area and also live entertainment.
Whilst exploring this town, you will come across some of its large families of free-range rabbits and the multiple families of ducks that walk the parks and pathways.
If you are here on the 2nd Sunday of the month you will find the
Davistown Waterfront Markets that offers many amazing stores, workshops, live music, street food, art and so much more.
Other towns nearby include Saratoga, Kincumber, Avoca Beach and Terrigal but we will leave those for another day!
