Did you know there are colours that show the true you?
If you have not yet heard of the stylist David Zyla, well you are in for a fun weekend with the girls. Zyla has shared with women around the world of a simple styling technique that uses your natural colours to empower yourself and the way you appear to others.
According to Zyla there are 5 colours that express the real you to the world (There are others but we will stick with the basics for now).
Essence: Your vulnerable colour, your version of white, a skin tone that harmonises the colours in the palm of your hand. Romantic: Your passion colour, your version of red found by gently pinching a fingertip—or the colour of when you blush. Dramatic: Your "look at me" colour, your version of blue, found in the colour of the veins in your wrist. Energy: The colour that supports you when you need a pick me up, taken from the darkest part of your iris (but not the ring around the iris). Tranquil: Your peaceful colour, taken from the lightest part of your iris.
"Colour Your Style: How to where your true colours.
So why not make it a day out with you and your friends to find out your Zyla Colours? Now this may sound a little weird, but your first stop is Bunnings. Head straight to the paint chip section and begin the colour selections, this will make clothing browsing easier. So there will need to be at least two of you doing this to help each other out. You may get a few odd looks from the Bunnings staff (we did when my friend and I did this) but at least you girls are having fun.
Next, go shopping with the girls. Try it out. Take your newly found Colours (aka paint chips) shopping with you to select your colours. Now you may be tempted to change shades because that dress looks very pretty, hey you are allowed to, but don't say it is your Zyla colour.
Now to go on a venture like this it is best to make an entire day of it and head to an area that has a lot of fashions stores. Such as: Perth City, Claremont Quarter, Harbour Town or Karrinyup Shopping Centre. Have a coffee or lunch break in between or just power through and carry a bottle of water.
The best part is that you don't have to pay a cent to do this. If you don't have the money right now, just window shop. But don't be surprised to find yourself wanting to buy clothes that show off your true self to others.
This is quite interesting and innovating as I used to do Colour Consultations back in the 80s based on colour of your skin, hair and eyes and which colours brought out the best featured in a Person. This method seems to involve no objective strategy just colour matching to your own individual colours present in the 5 areas mentioned. Certainly got my curiosity and will have to give it a go. Thanx for sharing, Tina 😊
