4/5 Stars, Adelaide Fringe Week 2, Best Fringe Show
Good on you Hughesy. Token Events present 'Dave Hughes: Sweet' running as part of Adelaide Fringe Festival at The Garden of Unearthly Delights - The Vagabond at 8:15pm from February 12th until February 28th. Hughesy is back and better than ever. His show on February 24th featured a sold-out audience from Generation Y up to Baby boomers and Hughesy managed to connect with all of them. To have such an age bracket as your target audience and be able to relate that back to what you're saying is hard, but Hughes made it look easy.

His show describes his time in football club change rooms, holidays with his family, googling his wife and his children's favorite things. The audience spent just over an hour in hysterical laughter with jokes about his family, sex, love, airplanes, football players, touring and more.

Throughout his show he tells the audience 'Good on you, for coming out tonight, in fact good one everyone. You're such a great crowd'. His line for the show was definitely 'Good on you' using it at least 10 times throughout, but he was genuine in his approach.

Hughesy has a talent for producing a stand-up comedy show on the spot based on his surroundings. When it comes to improv he's definitely the man for the job. For anyone who's seen Hughes on TV, you already know he's hilarious, but fans say you'll never know just how funny he is until you've see him live, and I'd have to agree with that. Hughes went above and beyond to keep the crowd entertained and could've easily kept going except he was out of time. Add Dave Hughes: Sweet to your Adelaide Fringe show list 4/5 Stars.
