Most people in their early 20s are either a student at TAFE or UNI, or they have a job which doesn't pay very much. If you're in this situation then you know how hard it is to find something to do on a weekend that isn't going to cost you a lot of money.
For those of you who are in relationships, you know that going out to the cinema, dining out in restaurants, or going clubbing can all add up to be very expensive outings. Wouldn't it be nice to do something enjoyable and affordable?
May I suggest a movie night with your significant other? All you need is two (or more) movies, preferably one chick flick to make the lady happy, and one action movie to satisfy the male. If you think about your movie selection carefully then you will be able to find a movie that both partners will equally enjoy.
Once you have selected your movies, you will need a choice of food and beverage. I would personally go with pizza and beer, because we all know how well they complement each other, especially with a movie. If that's not your preferred choice then how about a home cooked meal? Or another selection of cheap take-away? The options are endless and at the end of the day it all comes down to your budget.
A movie night is not that hard to plan, but sometimes choosing a movie is the hardest part. Here are a few choices from my private collection to help you make your decision.
Now that you've got everything organised, all you need to do is organise a date with your significant other, newly acquired crush (or even just a group of friends), pick up the movies from your local video store and while you're there you might as well pick up some chocolate. Go home and make sure there are lots of pillows and blankets to keep you both comfortable.
Don't forget: there's always going to be a scene for you to make your move.
