Reconnect with your partner without spending a fortune on babysitting with the
Loftus Community Centre's "Date Night" programme.
For a bargain $20 per child, the Leederville not-for-profit centre will entertain littlies for two and a half hours on the second Friday evening of the month.
Littlies aged three to 12 years old can attend the centre from 5.30pm to 8pm, while you pop out for dinner in nearby Leederville or Mount Lawley eateries.
The kids, who are allowed to wear their pyjamas and advised to bring a blanket and pillow, will enjoy a twilight playground session and sausage sizzle dinner and then settle in to watch a movie while munching popcorn.
This is such a good idea, I really hesitated to write about it for fear I wouldn't be able to get a booking, but in the end I decided that such a wonderful initiative deserved all the publicity it could get.
In addition to the $20 fee, there is an annual $15 fee to become a Loftus Centre member - still a bargain compared to the cost of regular babysitters.
The centre also runs holiday programmes for children as well as offering a wide range of sporting and other activities.
