Are you looking for some Darwin inspiration? Or a night of art, drinks and mingling? Head to The Darwin Visual Arts Association to check out the new exhibition by local Darwin residents, Heather Whybrow and Amber Reid. But be quick - limited time only! (Friday 21st April to Saturday 6th May).

With their shared love of colour and design, Heather and Amber showcase their new exhibition exploring the quirky and beautiful elements of Darwin life; the tropical landscape, local characters and of course, vibrant rich colours of darwin sunsets and earth.

The collection of works also reminds us of Darwin's resilience, a place where only the tough survive. If there's not a croc beckoning, you've got monsoons, stingers or... a night out on Mitchell St! Yes, threats all around... Perhaps this creates that strong Darwin community vibe.

Speaking of community, head over for the Opening Night celebration (Friday 21st April at 6pm) to meet Heather and Amber in person. Drop by for a chat and drink - they'd love to talk art with you. Plus, if a cold beer or Pinot Grigio doesn't get you all artsy, live music by local musician Melanie will. Finally, did I mention, entry is FREE! (Drinks can be purchased there). It will be a great Saturday day out (gallery open Saturdays 10am to 3pm) or from 12pm to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. Have fun and let us know what you think.
