It's festival time in Darra again. Hooray! It is that time of the year when the whole suburb gets together to celebrate and support their local community. The event is
FREE and it is always great fun. There will be plenty of live entertainment, music, a basketball skills competition for all ages (with prizes), rides, food vans and other stalls, a reptile show, heaps of activities for the children, and much, much more.
The Darra Community Festival promises to be even bigger and better, for 2023 than previous years, with more food stalls, activities for families and fun for all. The Festival will be held on Saturday 27 May from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in Ducie Street Park at 75 Ebrington Street, Darra, Best accessed from the Ebrington Street side. No bookings are required (unlike during COVID when numbers were restricted).
The festival, organised by The Darra Community Group and supported by Brisbane City Council, is a community event open to all. It is family oriented with local performers, food trucks and stalls, cheap rides, art and demonstration classes. Everyone is welcome.
