If you're looking to escape the city and the hustle and bustle created by the G20, why not take a Sunday drive to the Scenic Rim area and visit the ? Situated at the Darlington State School on the banks of the Albert River, you couldn't wish for a more perfect setting for a day out. The are held only three times a year, with this being their final event for 2014.



Sure to be a great family day, this is also an opportunity to get out and about in Queensland's picturesque south east. Enjoy traveling through some of the prettiest countryside our state has to offer, before arriving at your destination - Darlington's century old school grounds in the beautiful Lost World.



Here you'll find a unique array of market stalls, giving you the perfect opportunity to pick up quality artisan Christmas gifts. Stalls will include local produce and eggs, handmade, up-cycled, organic, Fair Trade and homemade goods.



What's for sale? Handcrafted leather goods, jewellery, preserves, potted herbs, local wine, paper crafts, local macadamias, photography and calendars, local artisan cheese, cheese boards, fair trade bags, felting, homemade cookies, mosaics, face painting, soaps, candles and more will tempt you as you browse under the shade of the jacarandas.

The Vintage Cafe will be selling their homemade scones and cakes, gourmet local sausages and icy cold drinks whilst cappuccinos and frappes will be found at Cuppa-Licious' quaint coffee van. When your legs grow weary just find a shady spot, refuel, enjoy the live music and let the country work its magic.



To end the day on a fun note, the Great Darlington Duck Race will take place at 12.30pm - get in early and stake your place on the river bank to watch this grand finale to the day! If you'd like to participate in the duck race you can purchase your lucky duck number on the day or contact the organisers to pre-purchase your duck. Individual ducks will set you back $5 each or why not buy a "floatilla" of five ducks for $20?
