Water spectacular and fireworks finale with Santa
It's time to pull out your Santa costume and that lovely red hat! So what are you waiting for? Hurry up, get dressed and head straight to Darling Harbour - one of the most happening places in the city.
Besides the fact that Darling Harbour will now light up to a variety of fireworks every Saturday until Christmas Eve, 24th of November marks the beginning of a fun-filled month at Sydney's most popular leisure spot.
Santa Fest, a festival in which you'll see hundreds of white jolly men dancing around the harbour, happens every year at Darling Harbour. But you can rest assured that it only gets better with each passing year. On arriving at the harbour, you will be greeted by tall and short, skinny and plump, laughing and dancing Santas, a number of Santa balloons, and a sea of people in red, some wearing Santa hats, some costumes and some both! You might think this is exciting for none other than kiddies, but trust me, it is sure to push kids and adults alike into the Christmas mood.
The Santa Fest Water Spectacular is an event I would urge you to not miss. It will begin at 6.30 pm on the 24th of November at Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour. It is an activity-packed programme that includes Santa boat parades, water stunts by Santa, carol singing, the secret lighting of the Christmas tree and concludes with a lovely Christmas fireworks finale. It is something you would really not want to miss!
This spectacular on the 24th is followed by a wide variety of activities like a Santa fun run, orchestra, carol-singing programmes and community festivals for the next 30 days. For a detailed list of the 30-day programme, click here.
Christmas just isn't Christmas without Santa Claus. So go on and catch up with him!
