Start your night off with a stroll around the world famous harbour. You can sing along to your favourite Christmas Carols, playing from the 14th November to the 25th of December. Marvel at stunning city views and discover an abundance of great cafes and restaurants to dine at.
Make sure you secure a good spot at cockle bay by 9pm, so you can watch the spectacular fireworks which are held every night from the 13th to the 24th of December. Why not observe them from high up in one of the Harbourside shopping centre restaurants? This is a great way to dodge the bustle of the crowds. Thai Foon (Pictured) has breathtaking harbour views and the food is very fresh. Try their champagne cocktails for something a little special (pictured). The shops close at 9pm, but don't get your tinsel in a tangle; all Harbourside restaurants are open late.
Don't forget you can soak up the incredible harbour side view from 'The Star of the Show' Ferris wheel (pictured) at the Harbourside Amphitheatre. It'll cost you $8 a ticket (or $30 for 4) and opens between 10am-10pm from the 4th of November to the 26th of December. Try to watch the fireworks from here if you can stand the queues.
If all you want for Christmas is a truck load of ice-cream then you are in the right place. The Harbourside shopping centre will leave you spoilt you for choice with options including Baskin Robbins, Andersens of Denmark and Movenpick (Pictured). If you do end up at Movenpick go for the caramelita flavour, it's sensational. For more information about the centre see their website.
