Laser tag has got to be the best workout ever. You'll start sweating bullets once you get into the heat of the battle. And seeing your stats at the end of each round is only going to pump you up even further for the next round.

Paintball used to be the ultimate military-like sport. But, let me tell you. Laser tag just catapults you into the future with its nice blend between CounterStrike and Star Wars (no light sabers though).

Before you go crazy on your friends or random kids, there is of course a safety briefing and a quick run-through on how the game works, this includes rules and objectives. Turns out that there are super powers too; such as Invincibility and Hyper Mode. There is no greater surge of adrenaline than knowing that you can destroy the enemy's base in one run, without anybody being able to shoot you because you have Invincibility.

After each round, you have to exit the battle zone and the friendly staff at Dark Zone will hand out stat leaflets to everyone - so that you'll know everything about your performance, including your rank.

Laser tag improves alertness, hand-eye coordination, agility, strategic skills, weight loss and so many other good stuff.

So, go to the nearest Darkzone or laser tag arena. Have fun with your family, friends, kids and/or strangers and get a good workout from it.
