Dark Lake is a unique and scary interactive theatre experience and it's coming to Sydney. I don't need a Venn diagram to tell me who will be interested in this event. Horror movie fans please step forward. Scaredy cats (that's me) you are no longer required here.
The premise of this performance centres around mysterious events at Dark Lake. To give you a little taste of what is involved, the website describes the show thus:
"Strange things happen at Dark Lake. People go missing. People go there after dark and come out strange, changed somehow. They see things and hear voices but no one knows what's causing the pervasive air of menace around the place. This is your chance to find out the truth for yourself. Prepare to cross the bridge and go down the twisted pathways of Dark Lake".
This is an outdoor, interactive horror experience, where the audience is part of the action. The actors will guide and direct you throughout the show. They may ask you to move quickly or quietly, run or sit on the floor. You must follow instructions at all times and must be fully mobile in order to participate.
If you are up for the challenge (and your nerves can handle it), get a group together for a unique, frightening and hopefully fun night out. As the story unfolds there are many twists and turns and there may be different outcomes depending on your choices.
