Darebin Creek Trail

We have all been itching to get away but sometimes you don't need to look any further than your own neighbourhood. Every suburb has its open spaces and parks; I find exploring on foot is the best way to become familiar with your neighbourhood.
This is a beautiful trail which travels along the northern corridor, following the Darebin Creek. It is a 27km track that runs from Main Yarra Trail (Kew) to Bundoora. It now connects to Melbourne's eastern cycling network, the Main Yarra Trail.
We've walked and cycled this trail a number of times, from Kew, Alphington, right through to Bundoora Latrobe wetlands. With its bridges and winding sections, it is absolutely picturesque.
Darebin Creek runs from the convergance of two creeks in Epping to the Ring Road in Bundoora, past La Trobe University to join the Yarra River in Alphington.
So remember to exercise daily to get those good endorphins going. A dose of fresh air and vitamin D is good for your soul. Explore your local area, you will be surprised what may be just around the corner!
