This year the City of Darebin's Children's Day has an emphasis on life-long learning along with a full program of family fun. Held as part of Education Week across the shire, the Darebin Children's Day is a 'biannual celebration of children and families' living within the community.
You never stop learning, but the most important first steps are taken during early childhood. Discover the extensive range of learning opportunities available for children in the City of Darebin at their Children's Day festival. Give your child the best possible start and take advantage of as many services and activities that pique their interest as possible.
A gold coin donation is requested upon entry, but from there enjoy a range of free activities. Little ones can show their true inner self by having their face painted, or try henna painting. Enjoy live puppet shows and participate in an interactive circus skills workshop.
Browse the market stalls and be a judge in the 'What I Love About Learning' photography competition. Budding photographers from local schools, kindergartens, childcare centres and playgroups will all be competing for the blue ribbon.
The Darebin Children's Day is being held on Sunday 15th May 2016 at Bundoora Park Farm, 1069 Plenty Road, Bundoora.
The Festival starts at 11am and runs until 3pm.
